Second store in Germany: Allbirds is coming to Hamburg

The US shoe and clothing retailer Allbirds Inc. announced the opening of its second store in Germany on Tuesday. The company chose the Hanseatic City of Hamburg as the location. In the Kaisergalerie on the central Große Bleichen shopping mile, the label intends to offer its products on a sales area of 147 square meters from next April.

The location decision was justified with the existing demand: Hamburg is the second most important city in Europe outside Great Britain for Allbirds “in terms of e-commerce”, according to a statement. With the forthcoming opening of its sixth store in Europe, the company is signaling “that it remains focused on expanding its international business and views this as an important growth strategy.”

In Germany, Allbirds has had its own store in downtown Berlin since 2019. The local market is the focus this year, explained the shoe supplier. He wants to build on the strategic partnership he started last April with the online fashion retailer Zalando.
