New task for Markus Gisdol: The 55-year-old becomes a coach at Süper-League club KaySerispor. As the Turkish first division club announced, the former coach of the 1. FC Köln and Hamburger SV signed a two -year contract. Gisdol has been without commitment since his farewell to Samsunspor in the summer of last year, where he rejected an extension.
KaySerispor is now his second club in Turkey. Gisdol follows Sergej Jakirovic, who led the club to relegation, but still separated. After his station in Samsun, the Geislinger native had initially needed a break, as he emphasized himself. Now he seems to have collected strength for a new adventure again. Kayserispor became 13th in the league last season and has the third -rings squad value with 18.98 million euros.
