Linkin Park are playing their second concert today at the Volksparkstadion Hamburg. All information about remaining tickets, how to get there by S-Bahn and what the weather forecast means for the evening.

Linkin Park’s second concert in Hamburg is coming up: Everything you need to know about remaining tickets, how to get there and whether it’s worth packing a rain poncho.

Hamburg is in Linkin Park fever: After concert number one on Monday, there was a break day yesterday, which, however, offered additional programming: pizza and karaoke – Linkin Park fans don’t need LinkedIn, they can still network in real life. Today we’re off the karaoke stage and back into the audience: concert number two will be more than just a lap of honor – but could end up being a boozy affair for everyone standing room only.

Mosh pit in the rain?

Although all tiers of the Volksparkstadion are completely covered, the interior is open-air – where the playing field would otherwise be. And the weather forecast for the evening hours doesn’t bode well: there can be at least light showers, with a 90 percent chance of rain between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Admission starts at 4 p.m. – it should still be dry then. But don’t be fooled: between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. the clouds dance as small spots over Hamburg in the rain radar. If everything goes like it did on Monday, Linkin Park will start their show at 9 p.m. – and could then be left in the rain at 10 p.m., just halfway through their set. The mosh pits could therefore not only get wet from the neighbor’s sweat. Jumping to “Unshatter” in the rain? Doesn’t actually sound like such a bad combo. But if you like to stay dry, you should use a rain cape.

There’s good news for the way home: It’s not supposed to rain after 11 p.m. for the time being. But as always: The weather report is no oracle, so it’s best to check the rain forecast again shortly before departure.

Directions to the Volksparkstadion

The bike ride to the Volksparkstadion is only recommended for hardy rain cyclists – or those who time their journey exactly when the rain breaks. If you come by car, you should expect increased traffic around the stadium. The Volksparkstadion website recommends the Volkspark exit from the A7 to avoid traffic jams in front of the parking spaces. Public transport users should take the S-Bahn S3 or S5 and get off at the Stellingen or Eidelstedt stops. Those who are afraid of the rain can save themselves a 20-minute walk if they get off at Stellingen and use the stadium shuttle. On the way back, train riders should prepare themselves for full trains and for passengers to have damp clothes.

Setlist and tickets

If you want to get an insight into Monday’s setlist, you can snoop around here – but there will certainly be surprises. Pro tip: Just let it happen and enjoy it, just like the rain.

Getting FOMO now? There are still resale tickets from fans on Ticketmaster – in the dry and in the wet and cheerful interior.
