Second division: Royal HFC takes a point against the leader and finally a win for Jong Volendam

In the second division, Koninklijke HFC drew 1-1 against leader Quick Boys. Young FC Volendam won 4-2 in a goal-rich game against FC Lisse.

Royal HFC – Quick Boys

Despite the game being played on Tuesday-evening, it was atmospheric in Haarlem. The visitors from Katwijk obviously took many supporters with them.

El Kachati gave Quick Boys the lead at the end of the first half. He worked the ball in from close range. Koninklijke HFC struck back before halftime. Quinten Dekkers worked in a cross well. In the second half, the Haarlem team were still close to a goal and shot at the crossbar and post, but the Spanjaardslaan failed to score.

Koninklijke HFC is now sixth in the second division. Quick Boys remains the leader.

FC Lisse – Young FC Volendam

After six games without a win, Jong FC Volendam managed to win again. In Lisse, the local FC won 4-2. In a spectacular game, the Volendam team took the lead thanks to goals from Antonioli and Blom. The home team came alongside in the first half, but before teatime it was Zeefuik who took the lead again. In the 87th minute, De Haan decided the game by scoring the fourth Volendam goal of the evening.

With the win, Jong FC Volendam climbs to fifteenth place in the second division.
