Last night there was another car fire in Assen, this time on Gentiaanstraat. Earlier in the evening, a car went up in flames on Thorbeckelaan in the city.
When the fire brigade arrived in Gentiaanstraat, a car at the front turned out to be completely destroyed. Firefighters extinguished the fire and limited damage to other cars.
The police have designated the location on Gentiaanstraat as a crime scene and are investigating the cause of the fire. It will also be examined whether there is a connection between the two car fires.
As far as we know, no injuries were reported in either fire.
