The police have arrested a second man suspected of involvement in a fight on Wednesday evening in Sittard. A knife was also drawn during the fight. Two youths were injured.
The police have arrested a 17-year-old resident of Sittard and a 54-year-old fellow citizen, a spokesperson said. One of the two has already been arrested on Wednesday evening.

About ten men clashed in a park on Hulsestraat. The emergency services received a report just after 8 p.m. of a stabbing in the Hof van Onthaasting, as the city park in the Sittard district of Hoogveld is called.
The two injured were taken to hospital by ambulance for medical care.

A police spokesman has yet to say anything about the reason for the fight. “It is also unclear who had what part in the incident,” she said. “We are currently busy questioning witnesses.” More arrests are not ruled out.
Due to privacy concerns, the police cannot say how the two victims are doing.
