Sébastien Haller again under the knife because of testicular cancer: ‘My fight is not over yet’ | Foreign football

Borussia Dortmund’s Sébastien Haller awaits another operation due to a malignant tumor discovered in a testicle. The former Ajax player himself reports on Twitter that he must “undergo the new operation to end this tumor that keeps me away from the football field.”

Haller was diagnosed with a tumor in a testicle in July. The Ivorian international had just exchanged Ajax for Dortmund. He had surgery in July and also underwent chemotherapy for several months.

“As it was clear from the start, various options were considered after chemotherapy,” Haller said. “I hereby report that the fight is not over for me. I will have to have another operation to permanently remove the tumor that is keeping me off the field.”

His club says nothing further about Haller’s rehabilitation process. Dortmund wishes him good luck via Twitter. Sports director Sebastian Kehl of Borussia said last week that there was no clear time plan for Haller’s comeback, who is completing part of his rehabilitation at Ajax.
