Sebastián Pareja has never read a text by Murray Rotbhard. Nor from better-known authors in the liberal world, such as Mises or Juan Bautista Alberdi himself. In fact, until La Libertad Avanza was born, it came from a pure and simple militancy of 20 years in Peronism, in places of second order and importance.
All of this did not matter to Karina Milei: the fact that he had sworn loyalty and submission to her, while at the same time he could fix problems – plus a whole plot to sell candidatures that even reached Justice – made him the perfect man to be her envoy in Buenos Aires. So much so that this year he was the one who time and again said no to Santiago Caputo’s envoys, who wanted to get into the lists of that province through the window.
Now Pareja, president of LLA in Buenos Aires at the instruction of Karina – with the logistical and electoral power that this means -, ventured into other worlds. It didn’t work out here as well: during the whirlwind that shakes San Lorenzo, the third most popular team in the country, the libertarian point guard wanted to put the wedge in. The thing is that he ran to be vice president of the Transitional Commission – the one that will take the reins of the club forward until the next election -, along with his close friend Manuel Agote, who was running for President. Several people from the Government were also on that list, however it was the only one of the five options presented that did not obtain a single vote.
Meanwhile, Caputo takes advantage of the fragile truce with Karina that his older brother imposed. He ratified his control over the SIDE, despite the fact that Sergio Neifert, its former head, tried to survive in office by switching sides to Karinism. In any case, that last-minute move did not prosper.
In the caputism they are preparing to resist the advance, and they continue to show their chest that this year’s electoral victory was based on the strategy that the advisor set: anti-Kirchnerism, synthesized in the song “kuka tira piedra” that Milei sang at the Movistar Arena. However, both sides recognize that the truce cannot last too long.
