Season 2022/23
The transition to the new season takes place in the Transfermarkt database every year on July 1st. All those promoted and relegated are now assigned to their new leagues, summer transfers made to date are taken into account in the squads and player profiles as well as expired contracts – this also applies to the trainer profiles.
As of today, for example, Erling Haaland (21) is officially a Manchester City professional and is no longer listed on the BVB team page. With the second most valuable footballer in the world in their ranks, the “Citizens” have reached a squad value of 1.11 billion euros – that’s more than 200 million euros ahead of second place.

In the meantime, the Dortmunders have Karim Adeyemi (20), Nico Schlotterbeck (22) and Niklas Süle (26) in their ranks with the start of the contract on July 1st. Since Sébastien Haller’s (28) official move from Ajax Amsterdam to BVB is still a long way off, the striker is still missing from coach Edin Terzic’s team.
In addition to the adjustments in the player profiles and on the team pages, something has also happened in the forum overview of the individual leagues – the club threads have been rearranged there.
