Search for composers erased by Nazis: ‘While playing I always get shivers down my spine’

Dozens of Dutch composers were erased from history after the Second World War. Music by murdered Jewish composers and resistance fighters was no longer performed, scores were destroyed or disappeared. The Leo Smit Foundation has been trying to find, preserve and perform this music for thirty years.
