Mightily Friday“Sean Ricks, who finished the presenter of the program, has headed for a new career. He tells about this on his Instagram account.

Last October Ricks announced that Friday-The program ends at Yle. He himself decided to end the program early in the year after 2024.

– I matured the decision for a long time, but I had the feeling that I had done everything I could and my heart was full. Of course, it would have been great to see someone else taking the booth from Friday’s conversation program and I could become a “viewer” myself, but this is what it went now, Ricks wrote earlier on his Instagram account.

Ricks said at the time that Friday-Dodes continue, but the TV show ended at the end of the year. Now the journalist has shed some light on what is working on Friday-after the program ends.

“This has been a whole new year in many ways when I jumped as a documentary director so far,” he says in his recent Instagram post.

For about 9 years, Ricks says he has been doing and planning live broadcasts for the year at this point in the year. He does not tell more about whether he is just guiding Fridaydocumentary or is he involved in a completely different project.

– It was great, but also demanded its taxes. Now I spend my day exploring the archive tapes, thinking about the story of the movie and its protagonist. It’s time and permission to immerse your thoughts for long moments, he describes.

According to Ricks, the change also brings more space to spend time with family and friends.

– The previous everyday life was great too, but I’m happy to trust an intuition a year ago and decided that 2025 things would change. It was scary, but it could no longer stay in place.

Ricks gratefully explains how his spouse, children, mother, sister and other friends encouraged her to chase her dreams.
