Scientists find high amounts of plastic in placenta of prematurely born babies: growing evidence of impact microplastics on health

Microplastics and Nanoplastics can be found everywhere in our environment. And that is not always positive for our health. This is also apparent from a new study that appeared in the scientific journal Pregnancy. In it, scientists show that they have found high amounts of plastic in the placenta of prematurely born babies.
