Quantity, quality of sessions and excellent recovery capacity: the summary of the walker’s last days of work in the House
With the usual double session yesterday Sunday 8 October, Alex Schwazer concluded his fourth week of training at the Casa del Big Brother. A day that the South Tyrolean walker began with morning training on the elliptical bike (70′ in total, starting from 120 beats per minute up to 170 beats) and then training in the afternoon for an hour and 20′ on the Tapis Roulant. The focus is always on the 40′ of fartlekwith 30 variations of fast walking of 20″, with a recovery of 1 minute of slow walking. Let’s see how the last few days have gone on the reality show.

From a quantitative point of view, the session of is certainly worth mentioning Saturday 7 Octoberin which Alex trained for 3 hours and 40 minutes, covering well 30 kilometers on the treadmill.
quality
—
From a qualitative point of view, the ability to perform must certainly be underlined increasingly intense fartlek sessions marching at 3’45” per km in the fast variation and recovering at 4’25”-4’30” per km in the slowest part. But also touching speed of 3’15”-3’20” per km in the fast variation, naturally with a slower recovery.

The third aspect to underline again with the red circle is the great resilience of Alex, even when he has to face three consecutive days of very demanding work. Especially having them often better sensations precisely on the third day of work compared to the previous two.
belief
—
It is the last aspect, but perhaps it should be indicated as the first in order of importance: the growing confidence and the belief of Alex to be able to reach the 2016 performance levels. That is to say seven years ago. This is thanks to truly unique muscular and organic qualities for an athlete who will be 39 years old in December. In addition to his great mental strength in being able to train every day not outdoors but indoors, only thanks to two particular machines like the Tapis Roulant el’elliptical.
