A barn behind a house on Lekstraat in Assen was completely burned down this morning. The fire was discovered just before 5 a.m.
When the fire brigade arrived on the spot, the flames already hit high. The barn could no longer be saved. However, the fire brigade managed to keep adjacent sheds and the houses. The fire did not spread to other buildings.
As far as we know, nobody was injured. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
