Despite his upswing with the first World Championship points, Mick Schumacher still sees the Formula 1 podium as a long way off.
“Of course, a podium would be great, but I don’t think we have a chance if it’s a normal race weekend,” said Schumacher in an interview with “Sky”.
With eighth place at Silverstone in his second season in the premier class, Schumacher scored points for the first time, followed a week later in Austria by sixth place.
“I had a lot of fun,” assured Schumacher, who is positive about possible updates to his Haas car: “I’m sure that the upgrades that we will bring will bring us a little further forward. And if If it doesn’t, we still have a package that’s doing well.”
