Schreuder understands critical fans: “Are used to beating PSV at home”

Just like in the match for the Johan Cruijff Scale, Ajax lost at home to PSV this afternoon. The chagrin of the audience could be heard in the stadium and some of the fans seem to have had it with trainer Alfred Schreuder. The choice lord understands the criticism, he says after the game.

“It is not good that you are 2-0 behind PSV, says Schreuder afterwards. “So I understand the emotion of the supporters. We are of course used to being able to win games against PSV at home.”

According to Schreuder, Ajax never claimed a victory for a moment. “We were just not good enough for that. I think there would have been a draw.”

Emotions

In any case, the public was not satisfied with what Ajax showed on the field. Part of the audience even called for the departure of trainer Alfred Schreuder. “Those are emotions”, Remko Pasveer reacted during the press conference.

According to the keeper, everyone should be a little more patient with Schreuder, who has been the head coach since this summer. “We all want to win and show that we are making progress. In the end, a lot has changed within the club. That takes time and we have to get that time.”
