After the atrocities committed by Putin’s troops in Bucha, Ukraine, Chancellor Olaf Scholz promised new sanctions against Russia.

“We will decide on further measures in the circle of allies in the next few days,” announced the SPD politician on Sunday, without giving any further details.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his supporters would feel the consequences. “And we will continue to provide arms to Ukraine to defend against Russian invasion.”

Scholz described the scenes from Bucha, a suburb of Kyiv that was occupied by Russian troops until a few days ago: “Streets littered with corpses. Makeshift bodies.” He emphasized: β€œThe murder of civilians is a war crime. We must relentlessly investigate these crimes committed by the Russian armed forces.”
