Airlines will have to rebook or even disappoint hundreds of thousands of vacationers in the coming days, sources say the Telegraph.
Schiphol cancels flights
Schiphol will announce on Thursday exactly how many flights must be cancelled. According to the newspaper, space has been requested by the airport to cut up to 30% of flights, but it will be a little less drastic in the end.

“The airlines already have call teams ready to rebook or cancel travelers in the coming days. It’s a drama,” an insider told the newspaper.
Especially passengers on city trips are the sjaak
The large crowds and staff shortages have been causing problems at Schiphol for weeks. There is a shortage of staff, especially at the hand baggage check, which causes long lines everywhere. It is therefore logical that flights to cities in particular will be canceled in order to reduce the number of boarding passengers with only hand luggage.
Package holiday not easy to book
It is not yet known which flights will be canceled exactly. For passengers with only a plane ticket, conversion is of course easier than for someone with a package holiday, since this includes accommodation and often also a rental car.
