There is no way around the Personnel Malick Thiaw from AC Milan. First the 23 -year -old central defender was traded as a possible successor to Jonathan Tah near Bayer Leverkusen, then a transfer within Serie A to Como 1907 burst at the beginning of July because the player was said to have decided against the step despite an agreement. The “Sport Bild” reported on Wednesday that Thiaw was again a topic at Werkelf, which the “kicker” in turn denied. Now the central defender should move to Newcastle United.

After a first offer of over 30 million euros has been rejected, a change of Thiaw’s corresponding reports is about to be completed. According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement was reached by a package of 40 million euros including bonuses. The basic revenue should be 35 million euros. Milan had approved this offer verbally. Now the contract must be set up, and the last details should also be clarified, the “Sky” says, among other things. Thiaw wave a contract until 2029. In the event of a degree, Schalke 04 would collect ten percent of the transfer plus, which corresponds to EUR 2.5 million to EUR 3 million.

After several devaluations, the native of Düsseldorf is currently estimated at 18 million euros – at the end of 2023 it was still 30 million euros. Thiaw’s contract in Milan is dated to 2027. The 19-time Italian champion had brought him from Schalke 04 for just over 9 million euros, since then Thiaw has been used 85 times. Before that, coach Massimiliano Allegri said the qualities of the three -time German international, who knew how to convince in the preparation.

In the final phase of last season, Thiaw had lost his regular place in central defense and mostly followed the games from the bank. If Milan will hand it over for a sum of 35 million euros, he will sort out in sixth place in the ranking of the most expensive departures. In the current transfer period, Milan has taken around 109 million euros through player sales, the opposite of 76 million euros in spending on the obligations of Ardon Jashari, Samuele Ricci and Pervis Estupiñán. The Newcastle, who was interested in Thiaw, has invested at least 35 million euros in access in its club history nine times.
