Schalke probably no longer plans to return on loan from Nassim Boujellab

Midfielder Nassim Boujellab recently celebrated the Finnish championship with HJK Helsinki. After his six-month loan to the Veikkausliiga expired, the 23-year-old, whose contract with FC Schalke 04 runs until the end of the season, will return to Gelsenkirchen on January 1 – information from “WAZAccording to the Royal Blues, however, they are no longer planning with Boujellab and are instead aiming for a separation in the winter.

Just two weeks after his return, another loan was completed in mid-July until December 31st. The native of Hagen played 32 games for HJK last season, in which he contributed two goals. He previously made 30 Bundesliga appearances at S04 (involving two goals).

Boujellab had already announced in an interview in August that it was “my greatest goal to return to Schalke”. in one Instagram post the player confirmed this wish last week: “Thanks to HJK Helsinki for the very exciting experience. I’m very happy and grateful to have won the league title and for my appearances in the Europa League. But now I can hardly wait to return to my heart’s club FC Schalke 04 and give everything in the blue and white colors to fight for league status together with the boys. Together, we will do it.”

Schalke’s sports director Peter Knäbel is said to be in contact with the scouting department and the coaching team this week “to talk intensively about squad planning,” the “WAZ” reported on Tuesday.
