OP’s customers have been troubled by online scammers lately. Antti Nikkanen

Online fraudsters have taken advantage of Osuuspanki’s number and are sending fraudulent messages from their number. The scam message is very believable, as it is written in the same spelling as the OP’s real text messages.

The message that came to Iltalehti’s attention tells about unusual activity and asks to check the payment via the link attached to the message. The link in question should not be opened under any circumstances, as it is a scam.

The message goes to the same message thread as other messages sent by the bank.

– Unfortunately, fishing messages may appear in the same message thread as OP’s genuine text messages, Osuuspanki’s communication is told by email to Iltalehti.

The bank does not ask to confirm payments with a message

Osuuspankki says that the bank never sends messages with a link to the online bank’s login page. In order to receive or cancel a payment, the bank does not require logging in or confirming it with a code either.

– If you doubt the authenticity of the message, you should always contact your bank before clicking on the link, OP says.
