Bundesliga club SC Freiburg can crown its season with a historic title despite missing the DFB Cup final (1:2 against VfB Stuttgart): In the Europa League, Julian Schuster’s team also advanced to the semi-finals, now Sporting Braga is waiting. The game will be shown live on RTL on free TV.
SC Freiburg is in the semi-finals for the first time in a European competition, only the Portuguese representative Sporting Braga has to be eliminated in the return leg in order to make it to the final perfect. The sports club travels to Portugal for the first leg (April 30).

- RTL presents the semi-final first leg on April 30th from 8:15 p.m. (kick-off 9:00 p.m.) live on free TV. Moderator Laura Papendick, expert Lothar Matthäus and commentators Marco Hagemann and Felix Kroos (Co) report live from the Estádio Municipal de Braga.
- The game between Sporting Braga and SC Freiburg will also be streamed live RTL+* shown.
- Switches off at 10:45 p.m NITRO and presents the highlights of all other semi-final games of the UEFA Europa League and Conference League on free TV from 11:15 p.m.
- Fans can only experience all semi-final games in both European Cup competitions (Europa League and UEFA Conference League) as individual games or in the conference RTL+. Starting at 8:30 p.m., the matchday show “Matchday” with presenter Anna Kraft, expert Max Kruse and community host Julius Fellermann provides classifications and background information on all appearances, including top teams such as Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Racing Strasbourg.
