Bundesliga soccer club SC Freiburg generated a positive result in the past financial year.
At the general meeting on Tuesday evening, SC board member Oliver Leki reported an increase in sales of almost five million euros. In 2021/22, the club achieved total sales of 114.9 million euros, compared to 110.1 million euros the year before.
The profit amounts to two million euros. The club “achieved a good financial result despite difficult conditions,” said Leki: “We are also in the black in the third season affected by the corona pandemic.”
The board named “increased sponsorship revenue in the new Europa-Park stadium and the very good performance in the DFB Cup” as the main reasons for an “economically stable” 2021/22 financial year.
