FOOTBALL – Without taking action itself, DZOH did good business in the battle for the championship in the 2nd division J. Competitors Gorecht and LTC lost points. Gorecht got no further than 2-2 against Bedum at home and LTC lost in Assen to Gramsbergen.
Due to these results, DZOH, which did not play due to several corona cases at The Knickerbockers, remains the leader in this class with 26 points from 10 duels. Gorecht has 24 from 11 and LTC is on 20 points from 11 games.
Achilles 1894 simply along NEC Delfzijl
Achilles 1894 had little trouble in Delfzijl with NEC Delfzijl, the last player in the 2nd division J. Two hits from Leon Regtop and one from Merijn Alting won the Asser middle engine 0-3.
Elim beats Meppel with 0-5
In the fight against relegation, SC Elim did good business at FC Meppel. The red shirts waltzed over the Meppelers with 0-5. Rick Prij and Youri Benjamins made it 0-2 at halftime and in the second half Daimen Diphoorn, Mike Doldersum and an own goal by FC Meppel made it 0-5.
All goals after the break in Assen
At LTC – Gramsbergen, all (six) goals were scored after the break. Gramsbergen scored the 0-1, 0-2 and 0-3, after which LTC answered via Richard Mulder (1-3). Seven minutes before the end, LTC thought to score the 2-3, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Shortly afterwards, the guests decided the game, after which Sergio Danhof determined the final score at 2-4.
