SBS 6 in the elevator after the Johnny de Mol show HLF8

SBS 6 is on the rise after the cancellation of the Johnny de Mol talk show HLF8, sees ratings expert Tina Nijkamp. “How does the new eve score? Well, actually considerably higher than HLF8.”

For the time being, it seems that taking the talk show HLF8 off the tube has been a good choice for SBS 6. The eve of the channel is in fact on the rise, ratings expert Tina Nijkamp notes. The station now broadcasts Dream House in the Countryside (6 p.m.), Long Live Love (7 p.m.) and A Year of Your Life (7:45 p.m.).

HLF8 exit is success

How does that work? Tina: “The most important question of Monday was of course: how does the new eve of SBS6 score? Well, actually from 7pm to 8:30pm very very good and from 6pm to 7pm not good. Droomhuis op het Platteland only scores 188,000 viewers and 3.3 percent in the commercial target group aged 20 to 54.”

After that it goes okay, Tina sees. “Lang Leve De Liefde scores 454 thousand viewers and 10.5 percent and Een Jaar Van Je Leven 444 thousand viewers and 11.0 percent. And that is considerably higher than HLF8 scored last week, namely 388 thousand viewers and 9.2 percent. SBS 6 will be satisfied with these scores for the first day.”

Meilandjes and VI

SBS 6 therefore had an excellent lead-in towards prime time and Chateau Meiland and Today Inside scored much better there than competitor RTL 4 with 924 thousand viewers (17 percent) and 965 thousand viewers (19 percent) respectively. Is Klusser only 762 thousand viewers (14 percent).

Tina likes VI’s grades very much. “With Özcan Akyol at the table and Bas Nijhuis at the bar, scores above 900 thousand seem to be guaranteed. Roxane Knetemann at the bar also guarantees top viewing figures at VI.”

Beau is struggling

How is competitor Beau van Erven Dorens doing? It’s struggling a bit. This time it reached 546 thousand viewers (16 percent), not enough for a place in the top 15.

And Op1? 875 thousand people (24 percent) watched it. “They benefit enormously from the earlier time due to the absence of Arjen Lubach.”

He will not return until September.
