Two matches in the evening of the Arab championship. CR7 completes the comeback after Talisca’s equalizer, the former Roma scored together with Mahrez and Saint-Maximin

Francesco Albanesi

Cristiano Ronaldo scores the 60th free kick of his career (Messi is on 65) and his Al Nassr continues to climb up the table. The 2-1 at Cosmin Contra’s Damac earned third place for the Riyadh team, who barely overturned Nkoudou’s initial lead. CR7 increasingly top scorer with 11 goals. In Jeddah, however, Roger Ibanez was decisive in channeling the victory of his Al Ahli, who won 3-1 against Al Wehda. Kessie failed in his performance and left due to injury after 50 minutes. The others: First victory in the championship for Al Hazem, who won with a pyrotechnic 4-3 against Al Raed. Ferreira Carrasco’s Al Shabab passes 2-0 against Al Tai and relaunches itself in the standings.

Al Nassr-Damac 2-1

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the attack as always, with the trio of Otavio, Manè and Talisca behind him. Cosmin Contra’s Damac proves to be a very difficult opponent, especially in the first half in which his team closes every gap. In the second, Nkoudou’s lead momentarily frightens Ronaldo and his teammates, who keep the ball without finding any openings. Al Nassr relies on episodes and, in fact, wins with two free kicks. In the 52nd minute Talisca made it 1-1, four minutes later CR7 turned everything around with a perfect execution to get over the barrier. The former Real Madrid player hadn’t scored from a free kick since March 18th. With this success Al Nassr is third with 22 points.

Al Ahli-Al Wehda 3-1

In Al Ahli all the stars are on the pitch, except Demiral in defense who is still out. Gabri Veiga acts between the lines behind Firmino, even if the Spanish talent is still immature. Saint-Maximin takes the stage, elusive on the left and author of the opening goal at the end of the first half. In the 50th minute Kessie had to come off injured after a clash. A minute passes and Al Wehda finds a desperate equalizer thanks to Al Hindi’s own goal. Ibanez re-established the lead with a header from a corner, his second goal of the league. The 3-1 that closes the games is signed by Mahrez. Al Ahli catches Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in third place.
