Satu Silvo 60 years

In 1985, the actor who was celebrating his birthday was labeled as a “new celebrity”. Now everyone knows him.

Actor Satu Silvo turns 60 today, Tuesday.

Silvo studied acting The group of Turks as a student at Teatterikorkeakoulu between 1981 and 1985, after which he was hired as an actor at the Helsinki City Theatre.

Silvo has also played musical roles. In 2011, Silvo played Luisa in Teatteri Imatra’s musical Nine. In the fall of 2012, Silvo starred in the Tampere Comedy Theater’s Broadway musical Annie the role of Miss Hannigan. In addition, Silvo has acted in a musical Chicago.

Silvo’s film career started already during his student years Matti Kassilan Neck mountainin the film adaptation (1984). Silvo interpreted the central female part, Ilona Ahlgren, as a counter actress Esko Salminen.

The following year she had the part of Rosita Ere Kokkonen in a comedy film Uuno in Epsanja. Päivi Hartzellin Silvo had the title role in The Snow Queen (1986).

In the years 1993–1997, she had the role of Pipsa Timo Koivusalo comedic ones Pekko– in the series of films.

Silvo has also acted in several television productions.

She played the role of Anita Lainesalo in the television series Musta sättät (1985 and 1988). In The Miracle Workers (1996–1998) and its sequel Parhaat voort (2000), Silvo played Oona Hynn. In 2004, he played the role of Armi Hiitola in the series Pelkovaara. In 2012, Silvo had a supporting role in the MTV3 series Helsingin herra.

Silvo also had its own talk show Satua ja totta in 1998–1999.

Silvo was a married actor Heikki Kinnusen with in the years 1986–2002. Children were born from the marriage SpongeBob and Windwho are also actors.

In September 2010, Silvo got engaged to writer-actor Reidar Palmgren.

The media has followed the twists and turns in the popular actor’s life throughout the decades.

Silvo has also been one of Iltalehti’s permanent faces. In 1985, he was still reported as a “new celebrity”.

– I’m just about to jump into work pants, said the actress who played the role of Ilona in Niskavuori.

It appears from the story that Kassila chose Silvo as Ilona because he saw in her a Niskavoeri-like strength.

In 1992, Silvo told Iltalehte about his family with children. Paavo was five at the time and Vilma was four. Silvo was on leave from the theater.

– My colleagues don’t miss me as much as my children. And I don’t love my audience as much as my family, Silvo said in an interview.

In 1998, Silvo had a serious accident at Saariselkä skiing center. He fell under the slope machine, but recovered from his injuries despite major surgery and was fit for work in half a year.

After the accident, Silvo was already wondering if this was it:

– At that point, when my lungs collapsed and there was no more oxygen, I thought it was over. That this thing was so short, that life was so short, Silvo told Iltalehte.

Silvo has always been interested in homeopathy, living food and astrology. In 2000, Homeopaatit ry awarded him the Similia recognition award for his work for homeopathy. Silvo did in 2004 Paula Heinonen with the book Fairytale-like strength for everyday life, New freshness for copingwhich focused on raw food.

Silvolla has a cafe-restaurant Silvoplee specializing in vegetarian food in Kallio, Helsinki.

In 2001, Silvo was involved in founding the Satulinna hotel in Hirvensalmi. The hotel was later taken over by Silvo’s partner at the time Juha Rantasila owned and continued in 2007 by Next Hotels & Restaurants chain.

Silvo started celebrating the round years a few days ago with a peat bath, from which he shared pictures to his Instagram:

In autumn 2019, Silvo celebrated the 20th anniversary of its restaurant from heaven.
