Sanna Kiiski indicted for several frauds – Vyyhti is connected to a man with a long sentence for financial crimes

Sanna Kiiske’s charges have been heard in the Helsinki District Court since the beginning of the year.

Having become known as a reporter and presenter Sanna Kiiskella49, has numerous new criminal cases pending in the Helsinki district court.

Kiiskei is charged with 13 counts of fraud and one count of payment instrument fraud. The suspected frauds have taken place between April and June 2021. The payment instrument fraud is suspected to have taken place in May 2021.

A 30-year-old man is also accused in the fraud case, whose actions have been dealt with in district courts in various parts of Finland.

More than 2 years of imprisonment

In 2020, the Ostrobothnia district court sentenced the man to two years in prison for, among other things, gross payment instrument fraud. The Court of Appeal of Vaasa increased the sentence by four months.

The verdict is related to a case where a Nordea employee embezzled more than 670,000 euros from a wealthy customer. Just under 400,000 euros were returned to the customer, but more than 270,000 euros were left behind.

The main perpetrator was sentenced to three years and ten months in prison at the Court of Appeal. The two were ordered to compensate the bank for more than 270,000 euros they received through fraud.

In the past ten years, the man accused in the fraud case with Kiiske has also had other economic crime cases in different parts of Finland. In addition, he has been in court for, among other things, drunk driving, assault, aggravated endangering traffic safety and robbery.

Kiiske also has other financial crime cases pending in the Helsinki District Court.

At the end of last March, a case was opened in which Kiiske is accused of the debtor’s dishonesty.

The charge is related to the Cafee of Cartoons company that ran the Moomin cafes, which accumulated a total loss of almost one and a half million euros during its three years of operation. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2018.

At the end of 2022, Kiiske’s charges of gross employment pension insurance payment fraud and unauthorized use came to light.

The charge of employment pension insurance payment fraud is also related to the operation of Moomin coffee shops.

Kiiskei’s charges will be heard in the Helsinki District Court on four days in January 2024.
