US President Donald Trump is in our country: he was received last night in the Huis ten Bosch Palace by King Willem-Alexander, his wife Máxima and their daughter Amalia. Even today he is still in The Hague and then he flies away again, probably back to America. And that flash visit turns the Randstad upside down …

Snipers

Royalty reporter Sandra Schuurhof was at the palace all day. “I have never seen snipers on the roof of Huis ten Bosch and as the moment he got closer, you saw more and more. There was more and more tension and helicopters were going to fly lower,” she says in Shownieuws.

It was still exciting, she continues. “Just before Trump arrived, that huge long runner went up in the air through a gust of wind. It went all the way around and in all directions. That yielded some panic, because of course you don’t want that that the president of America comes and that there is no runner.”

Dyantha Brooks then prompts that Sandra came into contact with Trump. “Yes, I think a very small moment of interaction, right? You have addressed Trump.”

Sandra: “Yes, yes! I said: “Good Evening, Mister President!“And then he said:”Thank you, thank you.“”

Colleague Guido den Attrekker: “Well, he is looking forward to that the entire flight.”

Dyantha: “It’s not much, but it doesn’t happen to everyone. Sandra can tell that.”

Bram Moszkowicz: “Who can repeat her?”
