An international stage of excellence to convey a strong message of peace. San Siro hosts the derby but also dressed in yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Speaking of flags: in a practically sold out Meazza (75% of the capacity), 55,000 flags have been made available to the public, obviously in mini format.

In the pre-match warm-up, the Rossoneri players wore white T-shirts with the Ukrainian flag and the wording “peace”, the same symbol appeared on the scoreboard and a video message from Andriy Shevchenko was broadcast close to the match, applauded by the whole stadium: ” From San Siro I ask you to make your support for peace felt, the Ukrainian people want peace, because peace has no borders, because what unites us must be stronger than what divides us. Let’s stop this war together “.
