Matthias Sammer probably waves an extension to the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. The BVB consultant should take over another job in the future.
As the “Sport Bild” reports, Borussia Dortmund wants to extend Matthias Sammer’s contract expiring at the end of June. In the coming days, the 57-year-old will be presented with a corresponding offer.
Sammer should not continue to work as a BVB consultant in the future. Instead, he should advise managing director Lars Ricken.
So far, Sammer was employed as a consultant for the management, the ex-professional submitted the responsible transfer suggestions and took part in sessions for squad planning. In the future, he should support Ricken in strategic decisions, according to the paper.
In the future, the sporting decisions and squad planning should probably only be managed largely by two club managers: by managing director Sport Lars Ricken and sports director Sebastian Kehl.
Ricken leaves Sammer future open at BVB
Last week, the “WAZ” had reported that Sammer’s future is open to BVB. It is only clear that the former international will not continue his work as before.
