Sami Välimäki shot 75 (+3) times in the closing day round of the Farmers Insurance Open and finished 43rd in the finals with an overall score of three under par.

– Today there were easy tickets and the field played easy, but I couldn’t get close from the decent places. On top of that, a few bad approaches and bad putting, that’s what the game looked like, Välimäki stated about his performance To the Golfpiste website.

Välimäki used 70 shots in the first round, 67 in the second and 73 in the third. The Finn was fourth in the drive length statistics of the entire competition, but the putt did not work.

Although the last round did not go according to plan, Välimäki received a nice compensation from the race. The prize money was 28,530 dollars, or about 26,300 euros.

Winner of the race Matthieu Pavon (-13) cleared 1.49 million euros.
