THEhe 64th edition of the Salone del Mobile will be held in Rho Fiera from 21 to 26 April 2026. With a surface area of over 169,000 square meters and more than 1,900 exhibitors, it confirms itself as the main trade fair dedicated to design. In the words of president Maria Porro, “a place where industry meets, thoughts are articulated and the future is planned”.
Salone del Mobile 2026: the new “fair within the fair”
For the first time, the Salone del Mobile opens to contract, a sector that is experiencing considerable expansion, with a space dedicated to large supplies for real estate, hospitality, retail and nautical. It will be called Salone Contract and will open in 2027. The direction of this “fair within the fair” is entrusted to a name of international appeal, the Oma studio by Rem Koohlaas, selected for its experimental and strongly research-oriented approach.
David Gianotten of Oma, who is already working on the masterplan, will act as spokesperson for the project at the Triennale. At the fair in April, Koohlaas himself will talk about it during a lecture open to the public.

A showcase of rare objects
The other big news of this 64th edition is the Raritas section in pavilions 9 and 11, reserved for collector’s items. Curated by Annalisa Rosso, it is proposed as a thoughtful collection of unique pieces, limited editions, antiques and high craftsmanship. The objective is to create a new reference platform for the collectibles market.

Among the exhibitors, galleries such as Nilufar, Collectional, Mercado Moderno and publishers such as Salviati. The scenography is entrusted to the Formafantasma studio, which imagined an “architectural lantern” where the pieces can communicate with each other. From a sustainability perspective, the display materials are designed to be reused in future editions.

The 2024 edition of FTK – Technology for the kitchen
The 2026 edition of the Show sees the return of Eurocucina, a biennial review of innovations dedicated to the heart of the home. An opportunity to discover the latest directions of the sector, driven by technology, sustainability, integration of Artificial Intelligence and the possibility of customization. The appointment with FTK – Technology For the Kitchen, the section reserved for the world of large household appliances, is also renewedand the International Bathroom Exhibition, the largest international showcase in the sector, returns. Here the key words are “wellbeing” and “longevity”: the bathroom, more than any other environment, must deal with the passing of time and changing gestures.
