Janice Richter (32) searched for her beloved dog for weeks. Now the sad end: Hannelore drowned.
“I received a call from the pension on Saturday,” says Richter. They would have pumped out the big pond and found Hannelore.
It is believed that she fell or ran into the icy water there.
The Berliner had housed her bulldog over New Year’s Eve in a kennel in Putlitz (Prignitz) so that she was spared the fireworks. “Unfortunately, she was never the best swimmer,” says the 32-year-old to the BZ
The waters are now to be secured so that something like this does not happen again.
