Sabu appoints new Head of Marketing & Consumer Experience

Sabu has a new Head of Marketing & Consumer Experience.

Albrecht Kersten is taking over the marketing department, the Heilbronn shoe retail association announced on Thursday. In his new position, Kersten will work closely with Jutta Brauner, head of Sabu Digital.

Kersten’s task will be to expand the group’s range of marketing services into a holistic, cross-channel consulting approach, according to the statement. In order to implement this, the designated marketing manager and the management of Sabu Digital will design along the customer journey based on their combined experiences. Lisa Weitmann and Lisa Weinrank in the Marketing & Consumer Experience team will be there to help you.

“Our goal is to ensure that Sabu shoe stores have a uniformly effective appearance among end customers. Keyword Consumer Centricity: The end customer decides and he has more offers than ever! At the same time, the decision-making process along the customer journey is significantly more complex than it was 10 or 20 years ago,” says Sabu CEO Stephan Krug. “Albrecht Kersten starts his role with the task of transferring this growing complexity to our marketing services. With the expansion of SABU Digital, we have achieved important milestones in recent years.”

It’s not the first time that Kersten and Brauner have worked together. Kersten worked as an e-business manager in the Brauner team from 2016 to 2019. After leaving the company, he worked at the e-commerce company Shopmacher and the food lifestyle brand 3 Bears, among others, before returning to e-business manager in 2022. In 2023 he finally took on the role of team leader for E-Commerce & Digital Marketing.
