Sabrina Impacciatore barefoot at the wheel of The Beastthe super armored car of the President of the United States. It is one of the sequences of the action movie G20 With Viola Davis (available on Prime Video) directed by Patricia Riggen. The Roman actress has long lived in Los Angeles, but has not yet become familiar with Californian traffic despite the fast driving courses attended in the past.

Sabrina how it went with the scene of the film in which you take off your shoes with heels and barefoot bare to drive an armored car?
“When I saw that car I did not believe in my eyes, it was intimate. This is why I proposed to the director to remove my shoes. I wanted to accentuate the abyss that separated my little body from that instrument of mammoth power. I wanted to show the inadequacy of the character and at the same time as, through an act of courage, he would have overcome his insecurities and the complexes. I played everything in a take. Di Magico proposing that idea: Viola Davis laughed in cracks “.

How did you prepare for the scene?
“In normal machines I practically not touch, you can imagine yourself in that ‘beast’ (the nickname of the presidential car, editor’s note), I had to be on tiptoe. We did some test days. In the past I had made a dangerous driving course with Dakar drivers. I know how to drive well and I am very proud of it. So I couldn’t wait to turn the scene: I dreamed of it. When I did the first tests, those of the production were frightened as I driven. They told me: “Slow Down Sabrina.” In the end we shot in the studio. And luckily I had taken that course. I went back to my eight years. I had to imagine everything, “laughs.

Do you like speed?
“I like it, but I fear it very much. Everything that terrifies me enhances me from an emotional point of view. It produces me adrenaline. And I am bulimic of adrenaline”.

Do you have a car you would like to drive one day?
“I don’t know how to tell you. I like vintage machines. I have an ancient soul. I see myself at the wheel of a car of the past rather than on these modern”.

On an Aston Martin of 007 or on Diabolik’s Jaguar?
“On a jaguar or an old Mercedes, perhaps cabrio”.

Did you always like to drive as a girl too? What was your first car?
“A Y10. I immediately loved to drive. For me it is a sort of Zen activity. If I travel and I am driving it is a moment of deep relaxation. I savor a kind of inner calm”.

Can you tell us about a journey that has remained in your heart?
“I remember a journey with a boyfriend of the time. At midnight, while we were watching a movie he says to me:” I want to take you in place. “He led for 12 consecutive hours to get to Germany, in the castle that inspired Cinderella. We did practically all the journey in the rain with a capitular car. It was memorable and unforgettable”.

You moved to Los Angeles. Do you guide in the city of angels?
“No, but I think the time has come to do it. I was thinking about it in these days. I absolutely have to drive because it helps you to take possession of the city.”
