S10 was the very last named during the announcement of the finalists and that was nerve-wracking for the singer. During the press conference afterwards, she said that she found it very difficult that it took so long.
“But it’s May 10, my name is S10 and I was named tenth. I think it should have been that way,” said S10, who feared in advance that she would be the last to be named.
During the performance on Tuesday evening, it could be seen how the text suddenly hit S10. She was more emotional than during first rehearsals. “I’m very vulnerable in the song and suddenly I felt that even more strongly.”
“Just before I went on stage I suddenly thought: oh no, how am I going to do this? And then: fuck it, I just do it. There on stage I suddenly realized that I always say that there must be room for sadness, but I may not always give myself that space. And that came in all of a sudden.”
S10 will perform again on Saturday 14 May. It is certain that she will then be in the first half of the final, which was decided by drawing lots on Tuesday evening.
