S.Oliver Group celebrates “groundbreaking ceremony” for new logistics center in Dettelbach

The clothing group S.Oliver Bernd Freier GmbH & Co. KG is pushing ahead with the expansion of its logistics capacities as planned. On Monday, the company announced that the “symbolic groundbreaking” for the construction of its new logistics center in Dettelbach, Franconia, had taken place.

The S.Oliver Group presented the project last November. According to this, a facility with a total usable area of ​​78,050 square meters is to be built in Dettelbach, which “will map almost all logistics processes of the brands S.Oliver, QS by S.Oliver, Comma and Liebeskind Berlin”. Commissioning is planned for 2024. According to the company group, it is investing “a high double-digit million amount” in the new “central location”. The project is being developed by the real estate company Panattoni, and construction will be carried out by the construction company Goldbeck.

Oliver Hein, the Chief Operating Officer of the S.Oliver Group, explained the importance of the system: “Especially in today’s world, when the global political situation is unfortunately becoming increasingly confusing, well-organized logistics with short delivery times will play a decisive role in order to to remain able to act,” he said in a statement. “At the same time, we as a company have more flexibility to react to changing requirements in the sales channels at short notice.” The decision in favor of the Dettelbach site, which is close to the group headquarters in Rottendorf, is “a clear commitment to the region understand, for which we bear responsibility as a large employer,” stressed Hein.
