The Irish airline Ryanair is removing 1.1 million passenger places in Belgium, both from Brussels Airport and Charleroi Airport. CEO Michael O’Leary announced this. The decision follows after the federal government previously decided to increase the federal flight tax to 10 euros in 2027. From this year onwards, the city of Charleroi will also impose an additional tax of 3 euros per passenger at the airport.
