Ryanair continues to phase out two million seats in Belgium due to flight taxes

Irish airline Ryanair is sticking to plans to scale down operations in Belgium, including five fewer aircraft in Charleroi from the winter season, if the federal government pushes through the higher flight tax. “But we will not close the base in Charleroi completely,” CEO Michael O’Leary said during a press visit on Thursday to the company’s headquarters in the Irish capital Dublin.
