The Russian-led military alliance CSTO has come to the aid of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with military support. Violent riots and demonstrations have been taking place in Kazakhstan for several days. Tokayev had asked neighboring countries for help against “the terrorist threat” posed by the protesters.
