Russian soldiers are being eliminated faster than Kremlin can recruit: “No major power lost more soldiers during war in the past century”

For the first time since the start of the invasion of Ukraine – exactly four years ago – Russia loses more soldiers than it can recruit. According to Western officials, the Russian side has seen nearly 40,000 deaths and injuries per month since November, while only 35,000 new soldiers are being recruited per month.
