Russian former minister and confidant of Putin in VK convicted after violating sanctions

Dmitri Ovsjannikov, a former Russian minister and confidant of President Vladimir Putin, has been sentenced by a British court to a prison sentence of forty months before the violation of the sanctions that London had imposed on him. It is the first time that someone has been convicted in such a case in the United Kingdom.
