Rugby players AAC win the North Holland final

The rugby players of the Amsterdam AAC have managed to win the national title. In the final of the play-offs, Blue Waves/The Bassets (RC Waterland from Purmerend/The Bassets from Sassenheim and RC Hilversum) were defeated 29-21.

The final was played in Amsterdam and AAC started well. After about ten minutes it was already 15-0 for the team from Amsterdam. However, the opponent fought back to 15-14.

It remained exciting for a long time in the second half, but AAC turned out to be too good to give away the victory. Eemland was the winner of the national championship for the men. That was the first time in their history.
