RTV Noord moves from the Europapark to Laan Corpus den Hoorn in Groningen. After twenty years in the Mediacentrale, the broadcaster sees the Meerwold business complex (the former KPN training center) as the ideal location for the future. The move will take place in 2025.
In 2005, RTV Noord moved from the Prinsenhof at the Martinikerkhof to the Mediacentrale. Since then, as a result of various cutbacks, surface area has been divested several times. In addition, the rental period is expiring.
Director Nina Nomden: “When I took office in 2022, it quickly became clear that we were ready for a new location that better suited our ambitions and growth. We therefore started looking for a building that would provide us with a good location for the future and that would suit our financial capabilities.”
“In addition, traditional media such as radio and TV are coming under increasing pressure,” Nomden continues. “This digital transition requires a different working method. We can design our new building well for this.”
Nomden signed a letter of intent this week and the staff of RTV Noord was informed today.
