The nightmare does not stop for Humberto Tan: his talk show RTL Tonight established a low record last night, for the second evening in a row. “It’s even under 112 today.”
It is not the question whether the plug from RTL Tonight goes, but when exactly. Will RTL 4 finish this week? Is it perhaps already done today with the talk show? The fact is that Humberto Tan taught a low record for the second evening in a row last night and scored under 300 thousand viewers. This time there were 291 thousand.
Low
The figures are really horrible, according to it analysis canal from Tina Nijkamp. “There were two talk show records yesterday. Unfortunately, a high-altitude record. Pauw & De Wit has recorded the highest linear score to date: 811 thousand viewers and a high 25.0 percent in the commercial target group 25 to 54 years.”
“RTL Tonight has the lowest linear score so far: 291 thousand viewers, and is now also under 112 today (301 thousand) and also, for example, a prize hunt (292 thousand). Another OR 18.2 percent market share in 25 to 54 years.”
“How is this possible?”
TV critic Victor Vlam thinks it is unprecedented that Peter van der Vorst will be broadcasting this program at all. “How is it possible that this program has taken the channel with all those pilots? It simply cannot create anything about that desk, because it is simply too tightly formatted,” he says in Victor explains TV.
A talk show must be a bit loose, such as VI, says Victor. “There is hardly any room to make a good joke or to swing a spicy one -liner with a topic of a colleague, for example, because it is often not enough time for that. Many of those clearers, I can imagine, feel trapped by the format.”
Thirteen in dozen
It is a waste of the experts purchased, says Victor. “Those are people who are attracted because they are personalities, so: Ben van den Burg was fun at VI, but at RTL he is just a thirteen in a dozen clear. He doesn’t get out of the paint there. And then I think, that’s a problem with the format.”
“If you accept all kinds of personalities there, then you have to give them the chance to shine. And yes, here you could have just as good as RTL being just exchangeable personalities. More or less like with Boulevard nowadays.”
