Nicolette van Dam has been active as a presenter for years, but did not have enough talent to really break through. Now she is never on the tube again. “RTL and SBS will not call her either.”
She started with children’s television and then she grew to the adult entertainment: Nicolette van Dam took her first steps on RTL 4 almost twenty years ago. She did the show I bet with Carlo Boszhard that I can and later made shows like Achmea Knowledge Quiz and My Name is Michael. In 2016 she did The Next Boy/Girl Band on SBS 6.
Unsuccessful
Nowadays we see Nicolette only figuring in the shit -loving videos of her influencing man Bas Smit. “Where did Nicolette van Dam go on television? Is she sometimes going to present something, for example for the Postcode Loterij?”, Tvina Nijkamp asks herself in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE.
She continues: “Yes, Nicolette van Dam actually had a not very successful career as a presenter. The last time she was on television, I meant for SBS 6 with the next boy/girl band or something. In any case, a talent show for SBS 6. That did not work, and there were not very many programs that million million.”
Well -known influencer
Tina thinks Nicolette no longer has TV ambitions. “She just stopped presenting. She doesn’t need it anymore, isn’t it? She is a well -known influencer together with her husband Bas Smit and they also organize events, have her own restaurant and many companies.”
RTL and SBS will also not be interested, she thinks. “I think she has thought: I will never present at all again, I don’t feel like it anymore. I think it has been my own choice, but I also don’t think she is called every day by channels or please present a program.”
Checks
The only thing we see Nicolette is lottery promotion. “We sometimes see her handing out checks for the Postcode Lottery. That is hidden in some programs in those items about street prices. So she is still an ambassador for the lottery. I understand that, because that is a very lucrative side job for Dutch celebrities.”
“But no, I don’t think we’ll see it as a presenter on television. That doesn’t seem like a wish from both sides.”
