Beau van Erven Dorens, Humberto Tan and Renze Klamer see their first names disappear from the programming of RTL 4. The channel opts for the brand new RTL Tonight title.
The late evening of RTL 4 is being overhauled. The TV station will put less emphasis on the presenters of the program and therefore the talk show titles Beau, Humberto and Renze disappear. Although all three talk show hosts remain on board, they will now present their talk show under the common name RTL Tonight.
New name
The scoop comes from Tina Nijkamp and RTL has just confirmed it. “The RTL talk show would be called RTL Late Night Show from the autumn and will be produced by Endemolshine. Striking news, precisely because the viewing figures are currently going very well in 25 to 54 years,” she writes on her early analysis canal.
Much later, RTL confirms the news to Tina. “RTL has just let me know that the RTL Tonight will be called and that Humberto, Renze and Beau will indeed remain the familiar faces !!!”
DWDD founder
The late talk shows of RTL are now still presented by Pilotstudio, the TV company of DWDD founder Ewart van der Horst. Before that, the production of the then Beau was in the hands of Blue Circle, the producer of RTL Boulevard. Now the production goes to amusement maker Endemolshine, RTL confirms.
An RTL spokesperson says to De Telegraaf: “We started this process a while ago. RTL invited several producers to come up with fresh ideas about the form and content of the program. Producer Endemolshine Nederland pitched a plan that appealed to us the most.”
Develop
Beau, Renze and Humberto remain the familiar faces of this new format and will be shown throughout the week, except on Saturday. “Although we are satisfied with how the current talk shows are doing, we think it is important at RTL to keep renewing.”
RTL says it is grateful to the team from Producer Pilotstudio. “We will certainly continue to work with them on other productions, such as a new series of best viewers this spring. And of course we are looking forward to the new collaboration with Endemolshine Nederland and the start of RTL Tonight as a new, permanent part of the RTL evening.”
