Roxy Dekker scores hit after hit, but that seems to be coming thanks to a specific target group. According to Tim Klijn, the most important DJ of Radio 538, she arouses resistance to many listeners.

In the beginning she was still a witty surprise: Roxy Dekker. With songs such as Sugardaddy, Satisfyer and Anne-Fleur vacation, she scored hit after hit, apparently on her own strength, although the finances and influence of her rich father will also have helped. Lately, however, it all begins to show some Nepo traits.

Roxy and the Buckfish

Roxy has hired her producer Julian Vahle, the son of Linda de Mol, to charter Linda for her new video clip. And so it all gets a bit of a high us-know-us content. Moreover, yesterday she was very sorry for the first time in front of the camera of Shownieuws: “I can’t say anything about it yet!”

Anyway: is this Roxy really as big as it seems? Or is she especially popular among buckets? “She is very disarming and she is herself. I think she makes music that is very popular with the younger half of the country – let me put it this way. And then I have to express myself a little diplomatically, “says Radio 538 star Tim Klijn Shownieuws.

538 listeners angry

What does Tim think of hers? “I find what she is doing so incredibly handsome. She scores one hit after the other, only you notice: if we play a record of Roxy Dekker on the radio, then one half of the apps we get about it are super positive and that is generally the somewhat younger listeners, say just about 25 years old. ”

And the other half? “The somewhat older listener sometimes has difficulty with the songs when we play it. They then say, “I’m not waiting for this, I don’t have to.”

Dichoty

The adult listeners of Radio 538 think it is very very children’s doll, says Tim. “You really notice a kind of dichotomy in society.”

“One half likes it and what she does is very handsome, but there are also artists who go over all generations and she has that a bit less.”
