Roxane Knetemann had high expectations of her TV career, but now we don’t see her anywhere anymore. Not at Today Inside, but also not at the NOS. “Lots of cups of coffee.”
For a moment, Roxane Knetemann’s TV career seemed to explode when she managed to acquire a permanent spot at the bar of Today Inside, but she shot herself in the fingers. She got quite excited, hired a manager and cut off direct contact with colleagues and clients. And that resulted in a sneer from Johan Derksen.
Where is Roxane?
We saw Roxane suddenly reappear in VI last March after a long absence, but she has not appeared there since. She herself does not rule out a return. “You know the men, tomorrow it could be different again. Life sometimes goes on as it goes,” she says The Telegraph.
She is currently no longer available on NOS. “We have extended an invitation to regularly participate in the broadcasts of the Tour de France again,” says a spokesperson for the broadcaster. “We actually didn’t reach an agreement on that.”
Surprised
According to the newspaper, Roxane reacts ‘surprised’ to this. “I am indeed in discussions with the NOS, but there is no agreement yet. Too much has happened and I will have to drink a few cups of coffee before I get started.”
She continues ‘irritated’: “And I think it is quite a strange turn of events that the NOS is already indicating that there is another invitation to work during the Tour de France.”
Other ‘stars’
Roxane actually wanted to continue as a co-commentator of cycling races, together with Andries Lamain, but, as she puts it: “Apparently other ‘stars’ were allowed to take my place.”
Former professional cyclists Ellen van Dijk and Kirsten Wild took her place. She hopes for a return. “I have a very warm heart for them and hope that I can return.”
